How do I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

Step One - Prepare Glove:

Place your new Wildpier glove under hot water. Turn off the hot water and squeeze the glove to release any excess water. You may notice that your glove may shrink slightly when rinsed for the first time. Place your glove in a safe place near the bathtub or shower for easy access.

Step Two - Soften Skin:

Take a hot and steamy bath or shower for at least five minutes to soften your skin. Avoid using any soaps, shampoo, or bubbles while you soften your skin as the glove relies on direct friction with your skin. Pro tip: the softer your skin is, the better the results!

Step Three - Prepare Body:

Turn off the hot water if you are taking a shower or drain the bathtub if you are taking a bath. Avoid drying yourself off and make sure that your skin remains moist.

Step Four - Use Glove:

Place your hand inside the moist glove. Begin to firmly (but not too firmly!) move the glove up and down and side to side across your body. Long and firm strokes work best, however feel free to experiment with pressure. For lymphatic flow benefits, stroke upwards towards your heart. Be extra gentle on your sensitive areas. You may notice your skin start to peel after a few minutes. If this happens, avoid rinsing the peeling skin off your body as these skin particles will aid in further exfoliation.

Step Five - Rinse:

Once you have achieved your desired levels of exfoliation, rinse your body with water and soap to wash away the skin particles. To finish off your exfoliating ritual, apply your favorite body oil or moisturizer.

Step Six - Wash Glove:

Hand wash your glove using natural soap and hang your glove to air dry. Repeat your exfoliating ritual weekly.

Step Seven - Most Importantly:

Enjoy your glowing new skin!

What makes Wildpier exfoliating gloves unique?

Wildpier exfoliating gloves are created using high quality natural plant fibers that are woven together using an ancient technique. The unique weave of the Wildpier exfoliating glove allows the fabric to catch the dead skin and dirt as you move the glove up and down your body while also stimulating blood circulation.

When you use your glove, you can see the dead skin and dirt visibly roll off the skin leaving you with extremely soft and clean skin. Wildpier exfoliating gloves are also reusable and do not harm the environment.

Can I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove on my face?

We would recommend using our very gentle Wildpier konjac face sponge on your face instead. Avoid any acne or open wounds as exfoliating these areas can result in the transfer of bacteria.

How do I wash my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

After each use, rinse your glove using natural soap and hot water. Place your glove in a clean and dry place to air dry. Avoid placing your glove in the washing machine as this could damage the woven fibers.

Can I use creams, soaps, or oils with when I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

No. Wildpier exfoliating gloves work using direct friction on the skin. Having creams, soaps, or oils on the skin will affect the exfoliating process.

Can I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove when I am sunburnt?

It is not recommended to use your glove on skin that is sunburnt or wounded as the deep exfoliation could irritate your skin further.

How often do I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

It is recommended to only use your glove once a week to ensure that you are not removing your skin of your natural body oils. People with oily skin may be able to use the glove twice a week.

When do I need to replace my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

We recommend replacing your glove every 8-10 weeks to ensure proper hygiene.

What to do if your Wildpier exfoliating glove is not working:

There may be several reasons as to why you may not be achieving the desired results:

  • Ensure that you have taken a hot bath or shower for at least 5-10 minutes. This is key to achieving fantastic exfoliating results as this will soften the outer layers of the skin, allowing for your glove to catch the dead skin and dirt.
  • Do not use any soaps, shower gels, shampoo, or bubble bath products prior to scrubbing as the glove relies on direct friction with the skin.
  • Make sure that you have removed yourself from any water and that your glove is damp. When using the glove on your skin, ensure that you are firmly (but not too firmly!) scrubbing your skin using long strokes in an upward and downward motion. It may take a few minutes before you start to see your skin begin to peel.
  • The amount of skin peeling will depend on the skin type. Dry skin tends to peel more than oily skin.
  • Hairier areas of the skin will peel less than shaved areas of the skin.
  • Avoid over exfoliating. If you are already using another exfoliator, you may not see your skin peel.
  • Note that even though you may not see your skin visually peeling, rest assured that you are still achieving amazing exfoliation.
