How do I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

Step One - Prepare Glove:

Place your new Wildpier glove under hot water. Turn off the hot water and squeeze the glove to release any excess water. You may notice that your glove may shrink slightly when rinsed for the first time. Place your glove in a safe place near the bathtub or shower for easy access.  


Step Two - Soften Skin:

Take a hot and steamy bath or shower for at least five minutes to soften your skin. Avoid using any soaps, shampoo, or bubbles while you soften your skin as the glove relies on direct friction with your skin. Pro tip: the softer your skin is, the better the results!


Step Three - Prepare Body:

Turn off the hot water if you are taking a shower or drain the bathtub if you are taking a bath. Avoid drying yourself off and make sure that your skin remains moist. 


Step Four - Use Glove:

Place your hand inside the moist glove. Begin to firmly (but not too firmly!) move the glove up and down and side to side across your body. Long and firm strokes work best, however feel free to experiment with pressure. For lymphatic flow benefits, stroke upwards towards your heart. Be extra gentle on your sensitive areas. You may notice your skin start to peel after a few minutes. If this happens, avoid rinsing the peeling skin off your body as these skin particles will aid in further exfoliation.


Step Five - Rinse:

Once you have achieved your desired levels of exfoliation, rinse your body with water and soap to wash away the skin particles. To finish off your exfoliating ritual, apply your favorite body oil or moisturizer.


Step Six - Wash Glove:

Hand wash your glove using natural soap and hang your glove to air dry. Repeat your exfoliating ritual weekly.


Step Seven - Most Importantly:

Enjoy your glowing new skin!

Do you have extra tips and tricks on how to use my  Wildpier exfoliating glove or towel?


Soak in a hot bath or stand in a hot shower for at least 5 minutes to soften the skin. I'm usually in the bathtub for at least 15 minutes. The softer the skin is, the better results!


Do not use any oils, salts, soap, shampoo, or creams while you are soaking in the tub or standing in the shower as our gloves depend on direct friction with the skin. Don't worry - you can wash your body and hair like you normally would once you're finished exfoliating!


Once your skin has been softened, wet your glove. Make sure to wring out any excess water from the glove.


Move yourself out of the water. This is one of the most important tips! You should turn off the shower water or physically remove yourself from the bathtub to ensure that your skin isn’t too wet. If the glove or your body is too wet, the glove won’t be able to make enough contact with the skin.


Start to gently scrub the driest areas of your body first. I usually start with my knees and feet, but other dry areas include the elbows and the back of the thighs.


Continue to scrub the skin using long and firm strokes. It can take up to one minute for the skin to start to build up and peel. Make sure not to rinse the peeling skin particles from your body or the glove, as these skin particles will help promote the rest of your skin to peel as well.


Slowly start to scrub other parts of your body, being extra gentle around sensitive skin.


Once you’ve achieved your desired level of exfoliation, take a shower or bath as you normally would (with soap and shampoo). Once finished, make sure to moisturize your skin within five minutes of drying off.

Only use our glove 1-2 times a week as our glove offers a very deep exfoliation. Avoid scrubbing skin that is inflamed or sunburned.


There is a chance that your skin may not peel, however you’re still deeply exfoliating your skin! Peeling mainly depends on your skin type, if you use body lotions often, and if you are already exfoliating your skin daily with another type of exfoliator. If you shave parts of your body frequently, you may not notice skin peeling. Dry skin also tends to peel more than oily skin.

What makes Wildpier exfoliating gloves unique?

Can I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove on my face?

Our Wildpier Ultimate Deep Exfoliation Glove is made using our most delicate weave of plant-based fabric, which can also be used on the face. 

 

We would also recommend using our very gentle Wildpier Konjac Face Sponges on your face.


Avoid any acne or open wounds as exfoliating these areas can result in the transfer of bacteria.

How do I wash my Wildpier exfoliating glove?                       

 After each use, rinse your glove using natural soap and hot water. Place your glove in a clean and dry place to air dry. Avoid placing your glove in the washing machine as this could damage the woven fibers.

Can I use creams, soaps, or oils with when I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

No. Wildpier exfoliating gloves work using direct friction on the skin. Having creams, soaps, or oils on the skin will affect the exfoliating process.


Can I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove when I am sunburnt?

It is not recommended to use your glove on skin that is sunburnt or wounded as the deep exfoliation could irritate your skin further.


How often do I use my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

 It is recommended to only use your glove once a week to ensure that you are not removing your skin of your natural body oils. People with oily skin may be able to use the glove twice a week.

When do I need to replace my Wildpier exfoliating glove?

We recommend replacing your glove every 8-10 weeks to ensure proper hygiene. 


What to do if my skin isn't peeling when I use my glove?

There may be several reasons as to why you may not be achieving the desired results:


• Ensure that you have taken a hot bath or shower for at least 5-10 minutes. This is key to achieving fantastic exfoliating results as this will soften the outer layers of the skin, allowing for your glove to catch the dead skin and dirt


• Do not use any soaps, shower gels, shampoo, or bubble bath products prior to scrubbing as the glove relies on direct friction with the skin


• Make sure that you have removed yourself from any water and that your glove is damp. When using the glove on your skin, ensure that you are firmly (but not too firmly!) scrubbing your skin using long strokes in an upward and downward motion. It may take a few minutes before you start to see your skin begin to peel


• The amount of skin peeling will depend on the skin type. Dry skin tends to peel more than oily skin


• Hairier areas of the skin will peel less than shaved areas of the skin


• Avoid over exfoliating. If you are already using another exfoliator, you may not see your skin peel


• Note that even though you may not see your skin visually peeling, rest assured that you are still achieving amazing exfoliation!

Navidium Shipping Protection is an optional shipping protection service where, in the event of an incident or issue with the delivery of your package (the order is damaged, lost, or stolen during transit) we will file a claim with Navidium on your behalf to begin an investigation into the whereabouts of your package.


If you experience an issue with your order and have purchased Navidum Shipping Protection, please contact us within 7 business days and no later than 20 days of your shipping date and we will file a claim with Navidum on your behalf. Our email address is hello@wildpier.com If you did not purchase the Navidum Shipping Protection and you have not received your package, please contact us to see if we can try to help locate your package, although please note that we cannot guarantee that your package can be found, or replaced.


Please note, orders over $150 USD will require a police report to be filed by the customer before any resolution can occur.


What do I get with Navidium Shipping Protection?

If you place an order with Navidium Shipping Protection, and your order is damaged, lost, or stolen during transit, then we will immediately send you a free replacement of any impacted items.


Impacted items refers to any products on your order that were damaged, lost, or stolen during transit.


Is Navidium Shipping Protection refundable?

No. Once your order has been shipped, your Navidium Shipping Protection has been "used" and is no longer refundable. 


Can I can a re-ship if I put in the wrong delivery address?

If you placed an order with the wrong shipping address, and the order has been fulfilled, we are unable to make any changes to the shipping label which could result in a disruption of service delivery. Please ensure your address is correct before placing your order. We cannot be responsible for delayed, non-delivered or lost packages due to incorrect/incomplete address input by the customer.


What happens if my order is damaged, lost, or stolen during transit and I do not have Navidium Shipping Protection?

Our typical claim process is to request the customer to lodge an inquiry with the courier. This duration of the inquiry can take 2-3 weeks (until we have a final response or resolution from the courier).


If you do not have Navidium Shipping Protection, you will need to wait for the courier inquiry to be completed. We will follow the claims policy with your selected courier to either locate your parcel or deem it as lost or damaged. This may take 6-8 weeks and is at the discretion of the courier. If the courier is unable to locate your missing item, we are not responsible to re-ship or to provide a refund for your missing item(s).


Can I get a refund instead of a re-ship?

No. Navidium Shipping Protection entitles you to a re-ship of any impacted products on your order, and not a refund.


When Should I File a Claim?

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 7 days from the most recent update and no later than 20 days. We are unable to investigate any claims more the 45 days past the date the package was shipped. 


What we deem as lost: Shipment states ‘delivered’ but you have not received it. We ask that you allow up to 5 working days for your parcel to be delivered. Sometimes the courier prematurely marks it as delivered and tries a redelivery, it turns up in a secure location at your property or it may be at your neighbors.


For domestic orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 7 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date


For international orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 20 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date.


Damaged: Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.
